How do I pay for treatment?Los Angeles County Medi-Cal is all you need to qualify for treatment funding. We do not accept private insurance at this time.
Who qualifies for Treatment at Grandview?Males over the age of 18, who reside in Los Angeles County and are Medi-Cal eligible can qualify for Residential, Intensive Outpatient, and Standard Outpatient treatment at Grandview.
What can I expect if I’m admitted to one of Grandview’s treatment programs?Upon admission, whether for residential or outpatient treatment, patients will meet with their assigned SUD counselor to develop a treatment plan for their specific needs. Grandview's approach also includes an immediate focus on a comprehensive aftercare program, ensuring a safe and smooth transition from treatment.
What is a SUD Counselor?Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors conduct intakes, offer individual and group counseling, and provide evidence-based support throughout and beyond treatment. Our counselors undergo specialized training from accredited programs, focusing on addiction counseling education.
Is there a black out period?We refer to this initial phase as the "orientation period," which spans two weeks. We do not discourage all contact with loved ones during this time, and clients are permitted to bring their cell phones to treatment. Following a 30-day period, clients become eligible for family visits.
What should I bring with me to Residential Treatment?Please limit your packing to a maximum of two weeks' worth of comfortable clothing and a 30-day supply of prescribed medications. At Grandview, we will take care of all your meals and provide linens and essential hygiene products. We advise packing lightly due to limited storage space, and we discourage bringing valuables with you.
Am I allowed to have my vehicle?Vehicles are not allowed in residential treatment. It is your responsibility to find a place to secure your vehicle. Vehicles are permitted in RBH and Sober Living: the patient must provide proof of driver's license, registration, and insurance.
Can I bring my cell phone?Phones are allowed at Grandview and may be used from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily.
What if I have dietary requirements?Grandview's culinary team collaborates closely with our Medical Director to cater to specific medical dietary requirements.
How long can I stay in Residential Treatment?Length of stay is based on clinical necessity and can range from 30-120 days.
Am I allowed visitors?After the orientation period, visitors are welcome during visiting hours two Saturdays per month. All guests must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
Is housing available to those participating in Outpatient Treatment programs?Yes, funding called Recovery Bridge Housing is available for up to six months for qualified individuals participating in either of our Outpatient programs. Grandview currently has 22 county funded RBH beds, however space is limited.
Can I continue with therapy once I leave residential treatment?Yes, once you complete residential treatment and enroll in Grandview’s Outpatient program, you may continue therapy.
What services are available to my loved ones?As of January 2024, Grandview will offer free “Family/Friends Groups” on site, guided by one of our Marriage and Family Interns one evening per week. These sessions are geared to help your loved ones understand the treatment process, how addiction affects them, and what they can do to help in your recovery. Couples counseling is also available to those in outpatient treatment. Please contact us if you are interested in services for friends and family. |
